Pop it back on the charging coaster when you're finished, it charges very quickly and is ready to go again in no time at all.īest of all, for me at least, is the app sending you a handy little notification when your drink reaches the desired drinking temperature - at which point the mug keeps it at that temperature for you. The battery is surprisingly good, I've had drinks on the go for a couple of hours so far and it's still had juice left at the end. I tend to enjoy my ""hot"" drinks around 54c-58c, the mug goes up to 62.5c - perfect. A little heavy almost, but I don't mind that - less likely to get knocked over.Ģ) The app is easy to use, and very simple to setup with the new mug - stick the mug in pairing mode and open the app, job pretty much done. Was it expensive, heck yes! At least that's what I thought until I received it:ġ) It's very well made, sturdy. Having tried mug warmers (those plates you put a mug on) and been distinctly underwhelmed by those I figured I'd treat myself and get one of these Ember mugs for Christmas. ![]() They will never ever know the joy you're experiencing. ![]() Well, actually they'll always be the same – because that's precisely what Ember does!įull disclaimer: Your colleagues and friends may mock you for you owning this. Needless to say, once you've tried the Ember Mug², your hot drinks will never be the same again. Just really, really distracted and forgetful? Don't sweat it. It also just looks really damn sexy sitting there on its stylish charging coaster. It keeps your mug at your perfect temperature until you're ready to drink it.It notifies you when it's ready with a smart LED light (you can even get app notifications if that's your thing). It cools it to your desired temperature. You tell Ember what temperature you want your hot drink to be.We've burnt our tongues on scalding-hot coffee and poured away neglected cups of ice-cold tea for the very last time! And it effortlessly solves a myriad of hot-drink hiccups that we (used to) encounter every single day. Perhaps you're wondering if this is a needless extravagance? Another pointless smart "thing"? We were sceptical too – until we actually tried it.
